Mr. Crupi is the Chief Executive Officer of North Atlantic Security. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing the NAS executive team and guiding the company’s strategic direction while ensuring operational effectiveness.
In 1997 Mr. David Crupi founded National Facility Services with the idea of building a National company that provides the highest quality service while building successful trade partnerships. In the first twelve months Mr. Crupi began building upon these partnerships which included Retail stores, Schools, Hospitals and Malls. With the company growth on the rise, Mr. Crupi opened his services to the hospitality industry. His first Hotel client was the renowned Boca Raton Resort and Club in Boca Raton, Florida. After a seamless start up at such a prestigious and demanding property, David’s reputation as an elite and trustworthy provider of services began to precede him and the company growth skyrocketed. In 2000 he secured his first Casino contract, Seminole Indian Casino of Coconut Creek and continued to grow into a National company with great trade partners with some of the largest, most famous brands in both the Hospitality and the Gaming industries.

Rick Miller, has nearly 30 years of Hospitality and Gaming Experience at the highest level. Mr. Miller’s responsibilities/endeavors include the asset protection of several of the most famous and demanding multi-million dollar complex facilities in the US. Under his watch, Rick has produced safe and secure environments for millions of families and team members at some of the world’s finest 4 diamond resorts. His expertise and experience includes; Resort Security Management, Event Security Management, and Risk Prevention in the Hospitality industry.
Major Richard Palagonia, Retired
Sr. Advisor to Security Operations
An acknowledged military hero, (MAJ) Palagonia holds 26 years experience in military combat and operational planning. Analysis expertise in management, supervision and control, decision making and problem solving. (MAJ) Palagonia served as a ranking operations officer of a 300 Soldier heavy Brigade combat team as well as having served as platoon leader in a deployed armored Calvary Troop. Posted in Washington DC, (MAJ) Palagonia served as commander in charge of all area security operations with a top secret security clearance. In addition, (MAJ) Palagonia secured an international border crossing where he and his Soldiers were responsible for the security between the Iraq and Jordan border.
Jim Bell has over 16 years experience in law enforcement and 7 years in the security management field. During this time, Jim has performed a wide variety of duties. From 1993-2006, Jim was a Deputy Sheriff for the Lowndes County Sheriff’s department in Columbus, MS . In this position, Jim performed the duties of a patrolman, vehicular speed enforcement, and a first responder to 911 emergency calls. His performance as a Deputy Sheriff was spectacular and he received many accolades. Jim holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from The Mississippi State University for Women Mr. Bell was a top ten graduate of the Law Enforcement Training Class, an expert and sharpshooter of firearms; a member of the Tactical Team (TACT), and a qualified dynamic entry specialist. Currently , Mr. Bell serves as Sr VP of North Atlantic Security (NAS). He has overseen 350 employees throughout Southeastern States. As the Sr VP of NAS, Mr. Bell ensures overall company compliance with all state, federal, and local laws. In addition, Mr. Bell ensures that all NAS contracts comply with the safety and security requirements set forth by the Department of Homeland Security.
Bram Bottfeld (Mr. B)
Security Consultant (Florida office)
Well regarded for his expertise in both physical and event security, Mr. Bottfeld has spent the last 35 years in every facet of security operations imaginable. Mr. B, as he is affectionately referred to by many of his staff has served as Director of Security for the Bank Atlantic Center Arena (now the BB&T Center), as uniform security coordinator for two Democratic National Conventions, security consultant to numerous trade show organizations including the International Council of Shopping Centers. Mr. B has been an instructor on security and emergency management for the Academy of Venue Safety and Security. Serving as crowd control and security Director for the Miami Dolphin home games from 1980-1985 and Director of Security for more than 4000 conventions and trade shows throughout his career. His licensing includes security manager, security instructor, private investigator and security agent. His certifications include safety specialist and crowd control manager. Director, Investigator, Instructor and Author are amongst a few of the titles held by Mr. Bottfeld. Mr. B has been commended in appreciation of service by the FBI. His work has been noted and used as an example by The Dept. of Homeland Security protective service advisors.
Stephen “Carp” Carpenter
Chief of Security
Stephen Carpenter has experience in military, security and law enforcement for over 30 years. In 1983 Mr. Stephen Carpenter started his law enforcement career with the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Reserve of Topeka KS and the Perry Police Department in Perry Kansas. He worked with the Sheriff’s Reserve group through 1985 and the police department until 1988. While at the Perry Police Department, he was the Lieutenant for the Traffic Division. During this time he also worked as a police officer in the neighboring city, Oskaloosa KS. In 1988 Mr. Carpenter became a University Police Officer at the University of Kansas in Lawrence KS. In 2001, he transferred to the Topeka Juvenile Correctional Facility as a Juvenile Correctional Officer. In 2004 he relocated to Columbus MS and was employed by Community Counseling Services as a Day Treatment Assistant. In 2006, Mr. Carpenter went to work as a Security Officer for Lowndes County School District thru Eagle Security, based out of Birmingham AL. Since 2007, Chief Carpenter has been with Columbus MS based North Atlantic Security as Vice President of the Company and Chief of Security
Chief Security and Firearms Instructor
Officer Brackin is a many time decorated former law enforcement veteran of 30 years. Officer Brackin began his career as a patrolman/Unit Commander, Commander of a Metro investigative unit. He then spent the next three years assigned to one of the most highly decorated Federal Task Forces in the country. Joey was a member of the world renowned S.W.A.T unit performing the duties of sniper protecting the lives of his fellow officers and civilians. In the following four years of Mr. Brackin’s career he respectively earned the position of Regional Commander for the MS. Department of Homeland Security, where he trained and oversaw an emergency response team of 60-75 officers. As a tactical team member/commander for over 14 years, Mr. Brackin is one of a very small group of non-military personnel who received tactical certification through the U.S. Air Force. He is a N.R.A Certified Pistol Instructor, Personal/Executive Protection Instructor, Defense Tactics Instructor, Escape Driving Instructor, Response to Terrorist Attacks Instructor, and holds numerous FEMA certifications.
Human Resource Manager
Chris Seay joined North Atlantic Security after serving over 10 years in public school districts as payroll coordinator and human resources officer. She also has extensive experience in customer service having worked as a manufacturer’s representative and an advertising sales representative. Mrs. Seay earned her Bachelor of Science in Marketing Management from the University of Alabama College of Commerce and Business Administration
Robin serves as payroll overseer and Human Resources Associate. Among her numerous functions are:
- Receiving and entering time sheets for all employees
- Confirmation of inmate Coverage time sheets for all Corrections Operations
- Oversees all pre screening of prospective staff and recruits for NAS.
- Primary liaison to LA State Board of Private Security Examiners.
A long standing employee, NAS is fortunate to have Robin on board.
